Sven Pape – Secret Editing Hacks – XL
Mini-course for aspiring filmmakers & editors who want to cut like pro-TV & feature film editors. Includes dailies pack for a scene from the film “The Ever After” starring Oscar-winner Melissa Leo (The Fighter,) Teresa Palmer (Hacksaw Ridge.)
Outline
I demo the most critical editing technique I use when I cut feature films and documentaries. Pro-editor don’t rely on their talent alone. They all have a system for shaping the best story the film inherently has to offer within the footage. It took me over a decade to perfect my system and you can see how it works in this 30-minute mini-course. I also included dailies for a scene from an actual feature film so you can apply it yourself. Don’t just watch and forget, but take action and engrain the lesson. Set yourself up for making any edit the best it wants to be.
What You’ll Learn In Secret Editing Hacks – XL?
- 70% of great editing comes from applying this single editing technique.
- I show it to you applied on the film “The Ever After” (Los Angeles Intl. Film Festival premiere,) starring Oscar-winner Melissa Leo (The Fighter,) Teresa Palmer (Hacksaw Ridge,) and Mark Webber (Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.)
