Hazel Rose is an LA-based songwriter with TV, film, and advertising placements on ESPN, HBO Max, Hulu, Netflix, FOX, The CW, and Abercrombie Kids. She is particularly known for her genre bending, Hip-Hop rooted lyricism.
She teams up with Producer Allister X, who has sync placements with Google, Apple, Old Navy, and many others, to create a brand new song from start to finish.
In this class, she will teach you her start-to-finish process of writing a Hip-Hop topline for commercial sync placement.
She will bring you into her studio and share with you her topline songwriting process. You will follow along as she writes a commercial topline, starting from reviewing a standard sync brief, all the way through sending out the stems to the producer and listening to the finished track.
Along the way, she will be explaining everything she is doing. Her thought process, her freestyle and lyricism techniques, and the exact technology she is using, using Pro Tools to record, and using Zoom to collaborate with the Producer and co-writer Allister X.
She will show you how to record freestyles, hone in on a theme and finalize lyrics, collaborate with the co-writer, and export the stems from Pro Tools for final production.
By the end of this class, you’ll know everything you need to write a commercial Hip-Hop topline yourself.
